Kind of New Items for 2011:

Items or services that MLD Services has been using in 2010 that we think would be a big benefit to our customers in 2011.

1. Google’s Android on smartphones. Outstanding system with outstanding tools and is available through all wireless carriers and from multiple hardware manufacturers.
2. Microsoft Security Essentials. Microsoft has really stepped it up and offers a top of the line antivirus and malware protection for free. Small businesses with less than 10 computers can also use it for free.
3. OpenDNS Enterprise. This is a hot product offering that everyone really needs to look into using. MLD Services is a reseller of OpenDNS Enterprise but you are free to go straight to the OpenDNS website. OpenDNS Enterprise blocks phishing and Malware before it reaches your computers, and can be used to keep employees and children off of web sites they should not be getting into.
4. MLD Services online backup and file share. We now offer a backup and file share solution that we feel matches and in some areas beats competitors. You also get a real human being to support you in installation and monitoring.
5. Cloud based computing. A lot of detractors and a lot of talk, but we still think it is going to grow and continue to evolve, and those that are in at the ground floor will reap the rewards. Look at Zoho for an Office replacement, Mint instead of Quicken for home users finance management, Moodle for online education, and many more are coming.
6. Content Management Systems. Small businesses can use these tools to offer services and products to customers over the internet like never before, and adding Facebook and Twitter integration to boot.
